About the Registered Manager Role:

Job Location: Stafford / Shropshire (Whitchurch)

We are looking for a dynamic and inspiring individual, who can excel in a leadership role through encouragement and ability at our  home based in the West Midlands.

With support from the senior leadership team, you will have overall responsibility for the management, leadership and direction of our home. You will achieve the highest standards of performance to help exceed Positive Outcomes quality standards and performance, resulting in unmatched levels of support provided to the young people within our care.

The role will be busy and varied and you will take the operational lead for all safeguarding matters. You will also be responsible for online training, supervision and provide advice to support and develop the children’s residential home. Working as a Registered Manager, you must be willing to go above and beyond for the children and young people, ensuring that they have a positive experience of childhood that they can reflect upon and carry with them into adulthood The registered manager must meet the requirements for their own personal registration with Ofsted.

Your skills

The person that we are looking for (you) should have significant experience of working in a residential childcare setting, along with previous supervisory/management experience. You will have a commitment to delivering high quality care according to OFSTED regulations. A good understanding of SCCIF guidelines to help focus on the things that matter most to children’s lives is also required.

You will have an In-depth knowledge of Emotional, and Behavioural difficulties that our young people experience and an understanding of the challenges our young people can face.

You will also hold a current UK Driving License and have access to a vehicle which can be used for business purposes.

Children, Young People & Families Manager qualification(or equivalent) is an advantage, however not compulsory as we will support you to achieve this and further training/learning. You must however, have supervisory or management experience to meet OFSTED registration requirements.

Rewards

Salary: £40,000.00 – £47,000.00 per year* Depending on Qualifications

About the Deputy Manager Role

Job Location:  Shropshire (Gobowen)

As the Deputy Manager, you will support the registered manager in the day-to-day running of the home and support the continued development of a team of Residential Care Workers who help and support our children and young people, who have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences and trauma, using our trauma-informed practices, which are embedded within our culture.

Not only do we source and deliver up to date training opportunities, but we also prioritise and discuss your personal development goals to ensure you’re getting the most out of your career. We know how important it is that we look after you, so you can look after the children who need you. Ideally, you will have the following:

Two years’ experience of being a Deputy Manager working in a Children’s Residential Setting, hold your level 5 in leadership and management (or be prepared to work toward it). A minimum of Level 3 in Children and Young Peoples Work Force and have a proven track record with Ofsted, Legislative Framework.

About the Senior Residential Care Worker Role

Job Location: Stafford / Shropshire (Gobowen)

As a senior Residential Care Worker, you will be responsible for supporting the homes management team, supporting, and giving clear guidance to residential support workers, and enabling opportunities for the children and young people in the home to achieve their goals and optimise their potential. Supporting the home manager you will actively promote the health, safety and general well being of the young people in line with company policies and individual care plans. As a positive role model for the young people you will be instrumental in providing a homely, nurturing environment, enabling young people to achieve their full potential in all areas.

The role is shift pattern based: two shifts on and four shifts off.

Your skills

You must hold the Diploma Level 3 in Children and young people or equivalent. Previous experience / supervisory experience is not necessary, but are welcome and will be recognised in your hourly pay rate.

About the Residential Care Worker Role:

Job Location: Shropshire (Telford / Gobowen) Stafford / West Midlands (Halesowen)

You will be part of a caring team that provides a safe and loving home for children and young people, led and supported by a Registered Manager.

As part of the team and along with other professionals, you will provide the therapeutic care and support needed for each individual child. You will act as a positive role model to meet their everyday living needs, developing trusting relationships that create recovery, growth and lasting change.

The Diploma Level 3 in Children and young people or equivalent is a role requirement however if you don’t already have this, then we will enrol you on the course, at no cost to you! Further experience and previous qualifications are not necessary, but are welcome and will be recognised in your hourly pay rate.

You need to be able to work flexibly in caring for the children. This will include working shifts and sleep-ins with full-time and part-time hours being available.
