Delivering unconditional care and Positive Outcomes!
The children and young people we support are at the heart of everything we do. We adopt a trauma-informed approach to supporting them on their healing journey, recognising the impact that their previous trauma has played in shaping their difficulties and supporting them to develop coping strategies. This enhances their self-worth, and empowers them to achieve their full potential.
We are committed to promoting a sense of belonging and ownership for each and every child, young person, and member of staff across our services.
Therapeutic Model
Therapeutic Model
Our care is therapeutically informed on a daily basis, and our training programme and therapeutic leadership supports us to translate the learnings from leading theory and practice in neuroscience, psychology and relational therapy into the day-to-day practices and interactions within the residential care setting. This is evident in the way our care teams navigate and approach daily discussions with young people, manage and respond to challenging situations, attune to and demonstrate empathy and compassion for the children we care for.
Our Homes
Our Homes
We offer a welcoming and supportive environment recognising that the child or young person cared for is valued as an individual.
It is our belief that all children or young people are entitled to a first-class standard of care and we therefore aim to provide a physically and emotionally safe environment that is warm, homely and non-institutionalised.
This allows them to experience being a child within consistent, stable structures and boundaries.
“Don’t underestimate the power of a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.”
“Don’t underestimate the power of a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.”
Positive Outcomes promotes self-esteem through recognition of achievement and praise. We will assist each child or young person to develop the coping strategies and skills required to manage difficulties as they arise in an environment correctly balanced between care and control, protection and risk. Our staff will always show unconditional positive regard and will not be another adult to let them down whilst the child or young person builds their self-esteem, trust and confidence and tests the adults around them.
